SEASONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Lifeguards will follow the schedule and help maintain the indoor and outdoor pool so that they’re ready for our members and guests, and assist in enforcing CDC guidelines. Lifeguards are supervised by the head guard and aquatics director.

- Enforce facility policies, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in keeping chemical records and accident/incident reports.

We are seeking friendly, proactive, and reliable team members to join our Shalom Squad — a vital group of staff who help create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
As part of the Shalom Squad you’ll serve in a dynamic customer-facing role that includes rotating between the front desk and fitness floor, plus acting as a general floater throughout the facility.

Administrative

The swim instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels. As a benefitted W-2 employee, the instructor will follow established lesson plans, attend required training sessions, and work collaboratively with the pool manager and assistant pool manager to ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional aquatic environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
Requirements (plus prior experience teaching swim lessons preferred):
- Current certifications in American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI), CPR, and First Aid (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Swim Schools International Instructor Certification, Starfish Swimming Instructor, or other recognized teaching credentials
- Infant/Toddler-specific certification if teaching infant/baby swim lessons
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Responsible for successful instruction of learn-to-swim programming, customer service, emergency response, proper documentation, facility/area upkeep, and assistance as requested by the Aquatics Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruct group and private swimming lessons
- Evaluate participant swimming ability and determine correct swim level
- Create an educational, safe, and inviting experience for participants
- Be available as needed to discuss the participant’s course evaluation with the parents/guardians and/or participants

DISCLAMER

Principal responsibilities

The Tennis Coach is responsible for teaching private and group lessons, assist with youth tennis programing, court reservations, and assisting with court maintenance. They grow their cliental and personal revenue successfully. They also provide welcoming environment for teaching that encourages repeat business.

Camps

Education (Cohn ECLC)
The curriculum specialist supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instructional practices across the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center (CECLC). This position ensures compliance with state licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and LJCC policies while promoting high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education.
The Curriculum Specialist provides instructional coaching, professional development, and assessment support to teaching staff while collaborating with program leadership to strengthen program quality and continuous improvement. Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related education field.
Full-time salaried at $45-48,000 per year
This position will aid in maintaining child-to-teacher ratios in our early childhood classrooms and will require tasks associated with childcare and early childhood education.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated substitute preschool teachers to join our educational team as needed. The ideal candidates will be responsible for assisting in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool-age children in accordance with the policies and philosophies of the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center and for maintaining a community with children and families.
Part-time, from $15 per hour
Facilities
The maintenance technician is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, upkeep, repair, and modification of facility buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role ensures the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of all mechanical systems and public areas.
The technician is expected to conduct detailed daily rounds, respond promptly to work orders, and execute scheduled preventive maintenance.
Duties and responsibilities
- Conduct thorough daily checks of all mechanical rooms at the beginning and end of each shift, documenting readings and ensuring that systems are operating within specifications.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and aquatic equipment.
- Inspect and troubleshoot common area deficiencies, prioritizing the replacement of lightbulbs, ceiling tiles, and minor plumbing/fixture repairs.
- Inspect all exterior grounds, including the parking lot, fields, and common areas, and remove trash and debris.
- Daily inspection and cleaning of all public restrooms.
- Housekeeping responsibilities as needed.
- Set up and breakdown of rental spaces.
- Receive, prioritize, and complete all assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance issues during the shift.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and work orders,

We are seeking a qualified, compassionate, and engaging chair yoga instructor to lead safe, accessible, and inclusive classes for older adults and individuals seeking low-impact movement options. This role is ideal for an instructor who values community connection, mindful movement, and creating a welcoming environment for participants of all abilities.
Chair Yoga instructors at the Levite JCC play an essential role in supporting physical well-being, mobility, balance, and overall quality of life while fostering a sense of belonging and trust among participants.
Part-time at $26.00 per hour

The fitness floor attendant is responsible for member services, performing standard operations, and enforcing policies on the fitness floor. The position supports a positive environment for members, visitors, and colleagues.
The FFA is responsible for providing outstanding customer and fitness service, ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests while helping shape a warm and friendly community experience throughout the fitness center, Group Exercise Department, and the entire LJCC.
Essential functions
- Provide information on general fitness.
- Be reliable, courteous, and punctual in responses to any and all member inquiries.
- Organize fitness area.
- Take a proactive approach to member retention by developing solid relationships and serving each member above and beyond expectations.
- Address member and staff concerns and suggestions in a timely, professional manner.
- Ensure equipment is in working order by properly identifying all equipment maintenance issues and reporting and logging any issues.
- Ensure that fitness areas are clean and set up according to set standards, including temperature, music, and TV settings.
- Serve as a first-responder in emergency situations and follow emergency protocols set by the LJCC.
- Preform opening/closing procedures for fitness center.
- Learn, understand, and communicate an up-to-date and accurate knowledge of all services offered by The J and the Wellness Department.

You’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, high-quality group fitness experience as you oversee instructors, develop programming, and help members reach their fitness goals.
- Assist in hiring and developing group fitness instructors and substitutes

Les Mills Cycle/RPM instructors are responsible for leading and delivering group fitness instruction ranging in variety and level from aerobic activity, as directed in Les Mills programming. This includes developing and organizing choreography, movement sequencing and progression, cueing participants set up, safety, execution, and more.

Personal Trainer (1099/independent contractor)
Compensation: Earn 40%+ of session fees based on experience and performance

Our dynamic fitness team is committed to promoting health and wellness for individuals of all ages. We are seeking personal trainers to work with both adults and youth (ages 8-15). While experience in youth fitness training is a plus, it is not a requirement.
This is a 1099/independent contractor position offering flexibility to create your own schedule and enjoy free access to our state-of-the-art fitness facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong, supportive relationships with members to create a welcoming fitness environment.
- Lead small group youth fitness programs with age-appropriate exercises (if qualified).
- Promote and sell personal training services and wellness programs.
- Collaborate with the fitness director on scheduling, record-keeping, and administrative tasks.
- Assist with fitness center operations and facility coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- National certification in personal training (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.).
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required (discounted safety certifications available once hired).
- A degree in exercise science or related field is a plus but not required.
- Experience in youth fitness training or sports coaching is beneficial but not mandatory.
- At least one year of personal training or fitness programming experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Independent contractor personal trainer insurance is required (insurance vendor recommendations available if needed).
While we are particularly interested in trainers with experience in youth fitness training, this is not a requirement. All qualified trainers with a passion for fitness and helping others are encouraged to apply.

This position will aid in providing childcare services for LJCC members as they utilize our facilities for exercise and wellness.
