Arts & Culture

Theatre LJCC

The theatre program at the LJCC is the perfect place for your child to have a first experience doing live theatre. We produce three shows: two musicals and one non-musical. Each year children have the opportunity to audition for the fall show, spring show or our two-week-long Broadway Camp in the summer. Actors work on memorization, stage presence, dance, and music. They are also encouraged to share ideas for set design, props, and costumes. Family and friends are welcomed to come to see their children make their stage debut.

For a schedule of upcoming performances and to purchase tickets please check our events calendar.

Auditions for the Spring play, Charlotte’s Web, will take place on Tuesday, December 3 and Thursday, December 5 from 4:30 – 6 PM in the Senior Lounge. Those who wish to audition should come between those hours. Kids in Kindergarten through 12th grade are encouraged to audition, no experience necessary.

Adult Theatre

We also participate in the National Holocaust Remembrance performances sponsored by the National Jewish Theatre Foundation. These occur several times during the year.
