Ritch’s Pharmacy is returning to The J for a combined flu and covid shot clinic. Adults should bring a photo ID plus prescription insurance or Medicare card. But please come even if you do not have insurance as Ritch’s will be able to cover shots for a limited number of uninsured individuals.
The flu vaccine will be AFLURIA from Seqirus Labs — a preservative-free vaccine that is quadrivalent. Afluria is appropriate for age 3 and up.
The covid vaccine will be Moderna Spikevax for ages 12 and up. Conditions for receiving it include:
- You must be at least 2 months after your most recent COVID booster.
- If you have been diagnosed or treated for COVID 19 in the recent past, you must wait 90 days between diagnosis/treatment and this new vaccine.
