Half Day Program

Imagine…you pick Hannah up from a day at the Cohn ECLC, and she has a huge smile on her face. She can hardly wait to be put in her car seat before she is telling you of the fun experiences she had that day. She tells you of planting flowers in the garden, singing songs, bouncing balls in the gym, playing on the playground with friends and painting a picture with a sponge. She is filled with excitement, but you know she has had a full day of learning.

Preschool is a time for your child to learn while she plays. Let the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center give your child the opportunity to socialize with friends, paint, play and learn in an enriching, child-centered environment. The half day program operates on a school year calendar running from late August to late May for children 18 months through four years of age. Child to teacher ratios are 1:5 to 1:8 depending on age.

I love going to the J. My daughter enjoys the babysitting room while I exercise. Other members are supportive & friendly while I run on the track, and the pool is great! All facilities are top-notch.

The LJCC is funded in part by the Birmingham Jewish Federation, the Birmingham Jewish Foundation and the United Way of Central Alabama.
