Plan now to attend this year’s Annual Meeting of the Levite Jewish Community Center on Sunday, January 28, 10-11:30 a.m. here at The J. Come prepared to enjoy brunch — including mimosas and bloody marys.
Special guest Kara Bierman is a member of the JCC Association of North America Board of Directors. Her in-person keynote address will discuss “Why do Jewish Community Centers matter now more than ever?”
After the keynote, members will install Isa Dorsky as The J’s 40th board president and vote on board leadership. Members also will learn about upcoming construction, programming, and other plans that together will make for a fabulous 2024 at The J.

Saturday Havdalah
We will also host a community Havdalah* event in front of The J on Saturday, January 27, 5-7 p.m., during which we’ll enjoy brews provided by TrimTab Brewing Company (since Tu B’Shvat celebrates wheat in addition to other fruits and grains). Wine will also be on the menu for the event, which is part of our ongoing “Member Joy” monthly appreciation series for members.
During happy hour, we will end Shabbat with a community Havdalah service. Everyone is welcome to attend.
*Havdalah is a Jewish religious ceremony that marks the end of Shabbat and ushers in the new week. All members are welcome to attend.
