J'la raises $160,000 - Levite Jewish Community Center

Thanks to you — our devoted members and supporters — this year’s Levite Jewish Community Center J’la Gala was a huge success. Besides kicking off our annual Community Circle Campaign, event highlights included:

Raising $160,000 ($50,000 more than last year!).
Welcoming 220 guests as part of our never-ending endeavor to unite the Jewish and non-Jewish communities.
Celebrating a $15,000 challenge gift from Medical Properties Trust that helped spur even more guests to pledge their support to The J.

At the event, Executive Director Brooke Bowles noted how she believes The J saves lives on a daily basis, fulfilling the teaching in the Talmud about whoever saves a single life is considered to have saved the whole world.

“The feeling of belonging and community we offer everyone who walks through our doors changes their trajectory, offering hope and motivation,” Brooke says. “Frankly, it saves lives.”
