More than 60 people showed up at The J on Sunday to experience our “Taste of Israel” wine tour. The event was presented by Steve Kerbel, a wine enthusiast from the DC area who has visited some 130 of Israel’s more than 320 wineries.
The event was nearly canceled in light of current events, says Brooke Bowles, executive director at The J. “But then we realized that this was actually a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Israeli culture along with the country’s beauty. We ended up having a great gathering — tasting some delicious wines* paired with an array of Israeli foods, and learning a lot from Steve.”
