Summer Basketball Camp

Are you looking for a meaningful and effective summer basketball experience for your child? Well, we have exactly what you are looking for!

Under the guidance of Head Basketball Coach Don Broadnax, who brings with him 20 years of coaching experience (Central Park Christian and John Carroll), your student-athlete will work towards reaching his/her full potential. The mission of ABCSF is to emphasize to your child the importance of having self-discipline and using it to develop better fundamentals skills in basketball.

Coach Broadnax has coached such players as Ronald Steele (Alabama), Emmett Thomas (Alabama), James Lang (NBA Wizards), Marco Killingsworth (Auburn), and many others collegiate and professional athletes.

Daily activities included in your child’s day are ball handling, agility drills, defensive & offensive techniques, 3 on 3 and 5 on 5. Fridays will feature a guest speaker.

Registration begins now and spaces are limited. So, register your child today for a great summer experience that will enhance his/her basketball game throughout the year.

The clinics are open to boys and girls. Ages will be broken down in groups 6/8, 8/10, 11/12, 13/14 and 15/16.

I learned to swim at a very early age at the old YMHA and spent much of my teens at the JCC – AZA, day camp counselor, Center Players, more. The Center has always been there and a part of my life.

The LJCC is funded in part by the Birmingham Jewish Federation, the Birmingham Jewish Foundation and the United Way of Central Alabama.
