Youth Basketball

  • Practices on Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Ages 3-10

Our youth sports leagues provide opportunities for play and growth through sports for children of all ages. Qualified coaches will help children build skill sets, learn teamwork, and increase confidence while connecting them to a new set of friends. Youth Sports follow a seasonal calendar with multiple sports options in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. 

Learn and improve basketball skills while building confidence and working as a team through The J’s youth basketball league.

Try Sports

  • November 7-December 7
  • Practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Ages 3-6

Try Sports is a four-week multi-sport program designed for kids who maybe just aren’t quite yet sure what sport(s) they want to play. Featuring soccer, t-ball, and flag football, and basketball, the program will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the following times: 

  • Preschool (ages 3-4.5): 1:15-1:45 p.m.
  • Preschool (ages 3-4.5): 3:15-3:45 p.m. 
  • Ages 5-6: 4-4:45 p.m.

Our qualified coaching staff will create a fun and encouraging environment for all participants, so come out and see what The J can do for your child. Ultimately, your children might even discover what sports they enjoy the most! 



Get your child involved in one of the world’s fastest-growing sports right here at the LJCC. During soccer class, your child will learn individual skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Along with building quality relationships with peers and coaches, soccer will get your child into the great outdoors for lots of physical activity.

Flag Football

Flag football is one of the fastest-growing non-contact sports. We teach the fundamentals of the game, including running plays, throwing/rout plays, and more. We are a co-ed league that plays in-house games, and the league is a family-oriented league that allows our teams to have fun in a positive environment.


Knock it out of the park with T-ball at The J.

A crucial step in learning baseball, T-ball is a modified game batted from a tee. Here at the J we will play co-ed and in-house games against one another as we sharpen our skills in throwing, catching, and running bases.

Futsal training

The J now offers Futsal indoor soccer lessons conducted by Derek Rios. Futsal indoor soccer is played in the Wood Gym in an area that is the size of a basketball court. This six-week program will offer challenges in ball control and quick decisions, and calls for understanding the importance of ball mastery and confidence.

  • Cost is $90 (which includes a training shirt)
  • For boys and girls ages 5-14
