Use of The J’s indoor and outdoor pickleball courts is open only to LJCC members.

The fastest growing sport in America, pickleball combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis for two or four players using paddles to hit a perforated polymer ball (similar to a Wiffle ball) over a net.

Pickleball Palooza Tournament – Sunday, November 16, 2025

Our Pickleball Palooza is a rotating doubles tournament designed for fun, social competition, and community connection. Players are paired with new partners each round, keeping the games fresh and exciting!
Tournament Format:
- 7 rounds of rotating doubles
- 3 championship games for top teams
- Coed, all skill levels welcome
- Winners celebrated at the end-of-day awards

End-of season celebration and open-play party: Monday, November 10
Type: Individual registration; coed doubles
Partners: Rotating each week
Match format: Single game to 11 points (win by 2)
Self-officiated: Players call their own lines and scores
Rankings: Tracked individually using the DUPR App
- 5:30 p.m. Check-in at the courts
- 5:30–5:50 p.m. Warm-ups
- 6:00 p.m. Matches start
- After matches: Record scores in DUPR and hang out courtside
- Paddle and balls (loaner balls available)
- Good vibes and team spirit!
Open play
General open play in Wood Gym
- Mondays 5:30-8 p.m.
- Fridays 9 a.m.–noon
- Sundays 2–4 p.m.
The Wood Gym is also open during the following hours (one net):
- Mondays, noon-1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
- Tuesdays, noon-3:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays, noon-1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m.
- Thursdays, noon-3:30 p.m.
- Sundays, 8-11 a.m.
Three outdoor courts are also available:
- LJCC members who want to use the members-only outdoor pickleball courts can check in at the Welcome Desk to receive a sticker showing your play date.
