Indoor and outdoor pools

“With regard to children, a parent is obligated to teach them how to swim.”

—Babylonian Talmud

The LJCC Aquatics Program provides great opportunities for all swimmers. Our 25-yard heated indoor pool has six lanes and is open year-round for all your aquatics needs. Our gorgeous 300,000-gallon outdoor pool is open from mid-May to September.

We offer lap swim, family swim, group swim lessons, private swim lessons, masters swim, and water exercise classes year-round. Children can also participate in the year-round swim team or summer swim and dive teams. Interested in becoming a lifeguard? We also offer lifeguard training classes.

Outdoor pool

The outdoor pool is closed for the season. See you back in the water in summer 2025!

Indoor pool

Our heated indoor pool is open during regular building hours. Note that the family locker rooms that adjoin the pool deck are for families with young children only.

  • All day Fridays-Sundays

Pool rules

  • All children who are not fully potty trained are required to wear reusable i play-brand swim diapers (available for purchase at the Welcome Desk). In addition, the families of individuals who are responsible for fecal contamination of a pool will be fined $500.

  • Participants with open wounds or infectious diseases are prohibited from using the pools.
  • All pools will temporarily closed whenever lightning strikes within 10 miles of the LJCC.

  • Diving is not permitted from the sides of the pool.

Pool closings

All children who are not fully potty trained are required to wear reusable iPlay-brand swim diapers (available for purchase at the Welcome Desk). In addition, the families of individuals who are responsible for fecal contamination of a pool will be fined $500.

The indoor and outdoor pools can unexpectedly close due to weather (even the indoor pool will close due to nearby lightning strikes), power outages that disrupt pool machinery, and biological accidents (see preceding paragraph). We will do our best to keep you informed via email, text messages, app notifications, and homepage alert banners.

The pools will also close due to Barracuda Swim and Dive Club meets (during which times the indoor pool will be available for lap swimmers and scheduled lessons only).
