Your LJCC membership provides a safe, nurturing, and fun space for your child while you take on cardio, swimming, weights, or enrichment programs. We strive to make coming to The J something kids will look forward to and enjoy. As with all LJCC programs we are dedicated to fostering a sense of kehillah, or community.

J Care FAQs
Can I do whatever I want after dropping my child off at J Care?
You can enjoy the two hours of freedom however you want as long as you don’t leave our facility.
What are the hours of J Care?
J Care babysitting is open Sunday-Saturday 8 a.m.-noon and Monday-Thursday 3:30-7 p.m. We are closed on some holidays, but as long as the JCC is open, so are we!
What ages are allowed in J Care?
You can drop off children as young as 6 weeks old and older.
What items must I bring with my child for J Care?
If the child is not potty trained, please bring a diaper bag with extra diapers, wipes and a change of clothes. You can also bring snacks for your child, and let us know if there are any allergies. For children who are potty trained, we have a child-sized bathroom available for use.
What are the steps that I need to perform to drop my child off at J Care?
When you arrive at the room, you will be greeted by an attendant. We ask that the child(ren) remove their shoes to keep the room free of outside dirt on the floors. You will be asked to sign your child in along with your name and phone number (in case of emergency) and you are free to go have a great time in the facility. Lastly, when you return, we ask that you sign your child out.
Can anyone pick my child up from J Care that was not with me when I dropped them off?
If a different individual (another parent or family friend/member) will pick up your child for you after you drop them off, we ask that you let us know as well as include their name and phone number on the sign-in sheet, but please remember that someone must be in the facility at all times when a child is in J Care.
Is there a charge for J Care?
There is no charge for J Care services. This is one of the many benefits included in your membership at The J.
What activities do you have for children while they are in J Care?
We have a number of puzzles/games, dolls, trucks/cars, books, and more for children to play with while they are with us. We allow screen time as well, but only if the parent approves. Screen time is no more than 30-45 minutes while a child is in J Care.
