The full-day program operates year-round, with the exception of dates listed on the closings and events calendar published each January. The Full-Day Program is offered to children ages 6 weeks through 4 years.
Application
Applications are accepted for the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center throughout the year. Children are admitted to the CECLC according to the number of spaces available for a particular age group. The child population includes children from different racial and ethnic backgrounds and a balance of boys and girls whenever possible. The Cohn ECLC does not restrict enrollment based on race, religion, or gender.
Enrollment
An annual registration form along with the $75 registration fee for each child must be completed and submitted to the office at the time of enrollment. Often, parents requesting infant spaces will not be using them until later in the school year. Due to the high demand for infant spaces and in order to “hold” a space for your child, it will be necessary for parents who accept an offer to pay the tuition each month, starting on the first day of the new school year, regardless of the child’s active start date.
Families of infants who are officially offered a space must remit a non-refundable deposit of 50 percent of the first month’s tuition within two weeks from the date the space is offered. If space is not available, a $35 fee is required to place your child’s name on the waitlist. The waitlist is compiled on a first-come first-served basis, with the exception of siblings of current ECLC students and ECLC staff, who are given priority. Waitlists are not carried over from one school year to another.
Immunization policy
For the health, safety, and welfare of both staff and students, the Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center requires documentation of immunization be provided to the CECLC for all students prior to acceptance in the program. The CECLC will monitor ongoing vaccination compliance for children 2 months to 2 years. This follows the standards and policies of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Centers for Disease Control, and the American Council on Immunization and Prevention.
Although no religious exemptions to this policy are allowed, medical exemptions will be reviewed by the director with medical consultation as necessary.
