The full-day program operates year-round, with the exception of dates listed on the closings and events calendar published each January. The Full-Day Program is offered to children ages six-weeks through six years. The hours of the program are Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Fridays 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The Half-Day Program operates year-round from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This program is designed to be an enrichment and socialization program for children two through six years of age.
Application and Enrollment
Applications are accepted for The Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center throughout the year. Children are admitted to the CECLC according to the number of spaces available for a particular age group. The child population includes children from different racial and ethnic backgrounds and a balance of boys and girls whenever possible. The Cohn ECLC does not restrict enrollment based on race, religion, or gender.
An annual registration form along with the $75 registration fee for each child must be completed and submitted to the office at the time of enrollment. Often, parents requesting infant spaces will not be using them until later in the school year. Due to the high demand for infant spaces and in order to “hold” a space for your child, it will be necessary for parents who accept an offer to pay the tuition each month, starting on the first day of the new school year, regardless of the child’s active start date. Families of infants who are officially offered a space must remit a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the first month’s tuition within two weeks of the date the space if offered. If space is not available, a $35 fee is required to place your child’s name on the waitlist. The waitlist is compiled on a first come first served basis with the exception of siblings of current ECLC students and ECLC staff, who are given priority. Waitlists are not carried over from one school year to another.
For the health, safety, and welfare of both staff and students, The Cohn Early Childhood Learning Center requires documentation of immunization be provided to the CECLC for all students prior to acceptance in the program. The CECLC will monitor on-going vaccination compliance for children two months to two years. This follows the standards and policies of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Centers for Disease Control, and the American Council on Immunization and Prevention. There are no religious exemptions to this policy. Medical exemptions will be reviewed by the Director with medical consultation as necessary.
Annual Supply Fee
An annual non-refundable $125 fee for consumable supplies provided in the classrooms is due by the first day of the new school year, or the first day of attendance. These supplies include, but are not limited to gloves, changing table paper, and art supplies.School Schedule Tuition and Fees
