Every day at J Camp is an opportunity to play, explore, and discover in a caring community full of ruach | spirit. For more than 70 years we’ve offered a day camp where children grow, connect, and thrive as they’re guided by values through a Jewish lens.

Open to all, campers enjoy indoor and outdoor activities, sports, swimming, singing, dancing, field trips, and more. ACA-accredited, J Camp is a safe, fun, and unforgettable summer experience.

What’s your specialty?

We offer more than a dozen specialty summer camps. From traditional sports like tennis and basketball to chess and the artsy endeavors of filmmaking and Showstoppers — we’ve got a camp you’re sure to love, like how about fashion, LEGO, and theater camps?


Trained staff

From organizing engaging activities to fostering a sense of community spirit, our counselors play a crucial role in making J Camp a memorable and enriching experience for every camper. Counselors are certified in CPR and complete intensive training in leadership, safety, and camp programming. All this helps to ensure that your child’s time at J Camp will be safe and filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful connections that extend far beyond the camp experience.

J Camp in a nutshell

11 WEEKS OF DAY CAMPS

Daily procedures

Early Care Drop-Off (7–8:30 a.m.)

Location: N.E. Miles Jewish Day School Entrance
Procedure:

  • Parent/guardian brings their camper in through the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School entrance and checks in at the day school gym.
  • Camper must be checked in directly with a counselor before the parent departs.

Carpool Drop-Off (8:30–9 a.m.)

Location: Sokol Fitness Center Entrance
Procedure:

  • Parent/guardian remains in their vehicle in the designated carpool line.
  • Staff will greet the camper, assist them out of the vehicle, and ensure they are checked in.

Late Drop-Off/Early Pick-UP (after 9 a.m.)

Location: JCC Lobby
Procedure:

  • Parent/guardian must enter through the main lobby.
  • A valid ID must be presented at the front desk.
  • Front desk staff will radio camp staff to coordinate drop-off.

Notes:

  • If camp staff do not respond via radio, the parent/guardian should be directed to walk the camper to Noah’s office for check-in.

Note: Half-day pick-up will stage in the main lobby


Carpool Pick-Up (3:30–4 p.m.)

Location: Sokol Fitness Center Entrance
Procedure:

  • Parent/guardian remains in their vehicle in the designated carpool line.
  • Staff will verify pick-up authorization and safely escort campers to their vehicles.

After Care Pick-Up (after 4 p.m.)

Location: N.E. Miles Jewish Day School Entrance
Procedure:

  • Parent/guardian enters through the N.E. Miles Jewish Day School entrance and checks their camper out in the day school gym.
  • Camper must be signed out directly with a counselor before departure.

Mondays-Fridays, 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

  • Pre-Camp: May 26-29
  • Half-day camps dismiss at noon

SPECIALTY CAMPS

  • Half-day (9 a.m.–noon): professional instruction
  • Full-day (9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.): professional instruction plus lunchtime, swimming, and other activities

CAMP A LA CARTE

  • Sign up for one week or all 11
  • Mix and match day camps and specialty camps

SUPERVISED BEFORE- AND AFTER-CAMP CARE

  • 7–9 a.m. (before camp)
  • 3:30–5:30 p.m. (after camp)

  • Non-members: $350 per week
  • Members: $280 per week

Professional instruction 9 a.m.–noon

  • Non-members: $250 per week
  • Members: $200 per week

Professional instruction 9 a.m.–noon plus lunchtime, swimming, and other activities

  • Non-members: $400 per week
  • Members: $325 per week
  • 7–9 a.m.
  • Non-members: $35 per week
  • Members: $30 per week
  • 3:30–5:30 p.m.
  • Non-members $35 per week
  • Members $30 per week

While we depend on membership dues and program fees to help maintain our services, we are committed to serving people regardless of income level. Fee reductions for J Camp are available on a case-by-case basis depending on your application and LJCC financial resources.
