Indoor pool closed

The indoor pool is temporarily closed for maintenance.

But the J has a long-standing reciprocal agreement with the University of Alabama at Birmingham that allows LJCC members to use UAB facilities during extended periods of repair or renovation (they’ve made use of the agreement, too).

All you need to do is show your LJCC membership card at their door for full access. But as is the case with most things UAB, the trick is parking. While you can find public parking in various spots around campus, Lot 5A is the designated parking area for Rec Center visitors. Read more here (select the “University” tab at left), and find a parking map here.
