Sinai and Civics

August 20 @ 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

On July 4, 2026, America celebrated 250 years since the Declaration of Independence. This moment invites us to reflect and ask: What ideas shaped our country? What values guided the Founding Fathers of the United States?

From its earliest days, America has stood for freedom, justice, and opportunity. Though still young compared to many nations, the United States’ commitment to human dignity and self-governance has inspired the world. Many of these core principles: freedom, moral responsibility, and the dignity of the individual, have deep roots in the Torah and Jewish tradition.

The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute and Chabad of Alabama are proud to join with the Levite Jewish Community Center to present Sinai and Civics, a captivating four-part series exploring the profound connections between American ideals and Jewish tradition.
