Youth Sports 2026

Our youth sports leagues provide opportunities for play and growth through sports for children of all ages. Qualified coaches will help children build skill sets, learn teamwork, and increase confidence while connecting them to a new set of friends. Youth Sports follow a seasonal calendar with multiple sports options in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.

SOCCER

March 16-May 6 | J Sports Camp: Aug. 3-7 | Sept. 9-Oct. 28

Get ready to kick, run, and score! Our Youth Soccer programs teach fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship while keeping every practice fun and engaging for all ages.

Programs and levels

  • Ages 3–4.5: Intro to soccer with playful drills and games. Focus on kicking, movement, and team participation.
  • Ages 5–6: Build dribbling, passing, and shooting skills in small-sided games. Emphasis on teamwork and game understanding.
  • U8 Girls & Boys: More advanced skills and real match play. Teams compete against other local programs for structured, fun, and competitive experience.

TUMBLING

March 19-May 14

LJCC Tumbling classes help kids develop strength, coordination, and body awareness in a fun, safe environment. Our age-appropriate activities encourage confidence, balance, and movement skills for all levels.

Programs & Levels

  • Ages 3–4.5: Intro to basic tumbling — rolls, jumps, and simple balance exercises.
  • Pre-L/Kindergarten: Build on fundamentals with forward/backward rolls, handstands, and beginner tumbling sequences.
  • Ages 7–9: Focus on more advanced skills, including cartwheels, round-offs, and coordinated tumbling combinations.

TRY SPORTS

Feb. 9-March 4 | J Sports Camp: June 8-12

Try Sports is a four-week multi-sport program and 1 week long camp designed for kids who maybe just aren’t quite yet sure what sport(s) they want to play. The next session will feature flag football, t-ball, soccer, and — new to the program — tumbling. As always, our qualified coaching staff will create a fun and encouraging environment for all participants.

  • 4-Week Season
    • Ages 3–4.5: Focus on basic batting, catching, and running through fun, age-appropriate drills and games.
    • Ages 4.5–6: Build on skills with more advanced hitting, fielding, and small-sided games that teach teamwork and game awareness.
  • J Sports Camp
    • 1st–7th Grade: Older players explore multiple sports with skill-building drills, friendly games, and fun challenges, all while improving teamwork and confidence.

YOUTH BASKETBALL

J Sports Camp: June 15-19

Our Youth Basketball program gives players the perfect mix of skills, confidence, and excitement. Each level is built to match your child’s age and ability, blending fun, fast-paced drills with intentional team play and positive coaching. From first dribbles to developing real court awareness, players learn, grow, and feel like part of a team every time they step on the court.

Programs & Levels:

  • 8-Week Season
    • Mini Hoopers (Ages 3–4.5) – Beginner coordination and ball familiarity.
    • Fast Breakers (Pre-K4–K) – Introduction to team play
    • High Flyers (1st–2nd) – Fundamentals, small-sided games, team play.
    • Rain Makers (3rd–5th) – Competitive team: Basketball IQ development.
  • J Sports Camp
    • 1st–7th Grade: Older players explore multiple sports with skill-building drills, friendly games, and fun challenges, all while improving teamwork and confidence.

Learn and improve basketball skills while building confidence and working as a team through The J’s youth basketball league.

FLAG FOOTBALL

June 1-July 20 | J Sports Camp: July 13-17

Flag football is one of the fastest-growing non-contact sports. We teach the fundamentals of the game, including running plays, throwing/rout plays, and more. LJCC Flag Football teaches kids the fundamentals of the game while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Age-appropriate drills and games keep every player engaged and having fun.

  • 8-Week Season
    • Ages 3–4.5: Intro to football through fun movement games and basic skills like running, catching, and flag pulling.
    • Ages 4.5–6: Build on passing, catching, and teamwork with guided drills and small-sided games.
    • U10: More structured gameplay with strategies, teamwork, and friendly competition against other local teams.
  • J Sports Camp
    • 1st–7th Grade: Older players explore multiple sports with skill-building drills, friendly games, and fun challenges, all while improving teamwork and confidence.

T-BALL

June 1-July 20

Knock it out of the park with T-ball at The J!

A crucial step in learning baseball, T-ball is a modified game batted from a tee. Here at the J we will play co-ed and in-house games against one another as we sharpen our skills in throwing, catching, and running bases. LJCC T-Ball introduces young players to the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive, playful environment. Kids develop hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and basic game skills while enjoying every moment on the field.
