“Delicious”
It’s the word that always comes to mind after practicing yoga with any of the talented teachers at The J.
Because that’s how it feels.
I’ve been practicing yoga at the J for more than a decade – dating to before we had our wonderful Mind/Body Studio.
I always feel better after a class. Refreshed, re-energized, more relaxed, and less stressed. Lately, it seems there are more men joining the classes. It’s a smart move.
Multiple studies have shown the many benefits yoga provides for guys. In addition to stress reduction
and boosting mental health, yoga is a low-impact way to lift your heart rate and increase strength and flexibility. It can help you sleep better, manage your weight, improve stamina, and even aid your sexual performance.
Need I say more?
What I also love about yoga is it requires no special tools (OK, a mat, but beyond that…).

Through simple movements that can be done almost anywhere, you can build muscle, improve balance and feel great afterward. Traveling for work or pleasure? You can easily do yoga in your hotel room, in a park, on the beach, or on a breathtaking mountaintop – if one happens to be convenient.
At the J, yoga classes draw all ages, shapes and sizes. You’ll love your fellow J-yoga practitioners. They are a truly chill group.
It’s easy to start and pick it up as you go. There’s “no judgment” – do what feels good; skip the other stuff. Plus, every session ends with the easiest and most delicious yoga pose of all: Shavasana. Don’t know what that is? Come to yoga and find out.
What have you got to lose, but stress, anxiety, and maybe even a pound or two?
See you there.
