Everyone is invited to attend this year’s first Jewish Movie Night on February 9 at 7 p.m. at downtown Birmingham’s Sidewalk Cinema. The featured movie will be Kiss Me Kosher. The $10 tickets (limited availability) must be purchased in advance.
“Kiss Me Kosher from Menemsha Films has been well received by Jewish communities across the country,” says Katie Hausman Grace, community engagement director at The J. “We’re excited to bring it to Birmingham, and plan to bring more films in the future as we work to bring Jewish arts to our community.”
Kiss Me Kosher looks at the chaos that ensues when two generations of Israeli women fall for a German woman and a Palestinian man. The film’s producers call it “a subversive love story between clashing cultures and families and a romantic misadventure that crosses all borders.”

This event is made possible by an unrestricted fund of the Birmingham Jewish Foundation.
