“I had so much fun, what a wonderful night!”
“Mazel tov — what a great evening! Very well organized, great auction items, delish food. Kudos to all involved.”
“I had such a great time! Excited for next year already…”
These are just a few of the comments that CEO Brooke Bowles and other staff members received from attendees in the wake of last night’s J’la Gala fundraiser. After having to miss last year’s event thanks to a bout of covid, Brooke was especially excited to once again participate in what she calls her favorite night of the year.
“The J’la showcases our community service and celebrates its impact,” she says. “Last night’s sold-out event showed that our community — not only here at The J but across the city — appreciates our mission and supports what we do.
“Being in the midst of such an outpouring of support is why I love the J’la.”
Highlights from this year’s J’la include:
- Another delicious multi-course gourmet kosher meal prepared by Chef Maureen Holt
- Feeling the support of our 30 private and corporate event sponsors
- Seeing the WaterColor, Florida rental property get sold three times during the live auction (for $8,500 each)
- During the “Last Hero” segment, watching a steady stream of 49 $90 pledges totaling $4,410
- Raising $204,500 total ($31,500 more than last year)
