Surpassing $100 grand

Three women hold a giant check from The J to Children's of Alabama outside in front of Children's.

Yesterday Katie Hausman Grace (center), community engagement director at the LJCC, stopped by Children’s of Alabama to drop off our $10,000+ donation from the recent Sam Lapidus Montclair Run. The check was accepted by Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (and J member) Meredith Weintraub (at left) and Kelly Markert, community development coordinator at Children’s.

The donation brings the 12-year total from the Sam Lapidus Montclair Run plus a similar benefit event called Jam4Sam (sponsored by Mesch AZA) to more than $100,000 — all of which benefits the Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders.
