Our swim and dive teams wrapped up the 2026 season with championship performances and enough team spirit to fill an Olympic-sized pool.
The LJCC/Pinetree Swim Team made history by capturing the 2026 Senior County Championship* with a staggering 1,426 points — more than double the runner-up’s total. The title capped an undefeated season and marked back-to-back undefeated summers for the program.
Even more impressive, approximately 72 LJCC swimmers qualified for the championship meet, where their outstanding performances helped secure one of the most dominant victories in recent Senior County history.
Not to be outdone, the LJCC Dive Team also put together a season to remember, finishing fourth overall at the Jefferson County Championship Meet. High-point honors went to Elijah Avina, Ophelia Schatz, and Paisley Moss, while many other divers earned top-10 county finishes — an especially remarkable accomplishment considering several were competing in their very first season.
“Our swimmers and divers gave everything they had this summer,” said Kirsten “Coach K” Thomas, director of athletics and aquatics programming and dive team coach at the Levite JCC. “The trophies and team finishes are exciting, but what makes me proudest is watching these athletes grow in confidence, encourage one another, and discover what they’re capable of through hard work and dedication.”
