Last week the LJCC Barracudas Swimming and Diving clubs each saw some great performances from their members at their respective county-wide meets.
The J’s JCC Maccabi Games team had a front-row seat to the demonstrations that have gripped Israel.
After a week of being on the lam(b!), the famous fugitive goat “Billy the Kid” was finally corralled at The J on Sunday.
“I owe The J so much,” says heart transplant recipient Karen Weinrib. “It’s my social outlet and one of the bedrocks of my sense of community.”
$40,000 in new grants for LJCC Theater will go a long ways toward reviving and refreshing this important community program.
“This is when our campers suddenly become consumed by a sense of tradition and camaraderie, and they put all of their energy into the competition.”
A story in OTMJ notes that this year’s J’la Gala fundraiser will revolve around the theme “Only at The J.”
On July 18 The J will welcome 50 kids and 10 adults from Camp Ramah Darom in Georgia.
